June 10th and 11th, 2023, Brockwell Park, SE24

1pm til 9pm

For our only Pop-up of the summer season, join us this weekend at the Lambeth Country Show in the 'Shop Herne hill'.

If you've never been to the Lambeth Country Show, you can expect traditional country fair themes like flower arranging, dog shows and sheep shearing mixed in with Caribbean music and multicultural London vibes in the setting of Brockwell Park in Herne Hill.

Here's my top pics for what to do:

1 - Herne Hill tent featuring Miss Pompom stall

With our full collection for sale in our inly pop-up of the season, some and try on and shop our iconic collection of bright and graphic 80's inspired printed jumpsuits, trousers, shorts and jackets and more. Support some of our other local Herne Hill businesses in the 'Shop Herne Hill' tent including delicious Umana Yana rotis and Unwanted Vintage for nick-nacks and homewares.

2 - Visit the vegetable sculpture competition

This is the hottest ticket in town if you're into at vegetable carvings (who isn't?)  and want to see some magnificent creations. Often a pastiche on current affairs, past entrants have included famous faces such as Ri-Yam-ah, Shane Corn and The Cu-cummings visit to Bananard Castle. Be prepared for a 15 minute wait to visit this famous event.

3 - Drink Chucklehead cider

A stalwart at LCS for over 20 years, if you haven't bought yourself a 4 Litre of this Devon cider then you've not really done the show properly.  It's warm and sweet and not really my cup of tea (um cider) but it makes me feel like I'm getting involved.

4 - Hang out on the Village Green

Gather your friends, your cider and some Jerk chicken and feel the community vibes by watching some local Lambeth performances including school choirs, dance troupes and kids craft activities.

5 - Dance to Reggae on the main Stage

Legendary Reggae artist Anthony B headlines the main stage on Sunday night at 7.30pm. Bringing together South London communities, get your swagger and your Chucklehead and dance to this high energy set.
